The Interpipe Nyzhnyodniprovsk Pipe-Rolling Plant [NITR UZ, N/R] produced 49.4 thsd mt of pipes in August, down 6% MoM and 4% from the 7M08 monthly average. The 8M08 output of 408 thsd mt is up 1% YoY.

Khartsyzk Pipes & Tubes [HRTR UZ, N/R] produced 30.5 thsd mt of pipes in August, down 10% MoM but 26% higher than the 7M08 monthly average of 24.2 thsd mt. For 8M08 the output is 196 thsd mt, down 49% YoY.

The Dnipropetrovsk Pipes Plant [DTRZ UZ, N/R] produced 6.9 thsd mt of pipes in August, down 53% MoM and 52% from the 7M08 monthly average. The 8M08 output of 107 thsd mt is down 23% YoY.

The Dnipropetrovsk Metallurgical Plant named after Komintern, or Kominmet, [DMZK UZ, N/R] produced 19.6 thsd mt of pipes in August, down 10% MoM but only 1% from the 7M08 monthly average. The 8M08 output of 157 thsd mt is up 30% YoY.

The Interpipe Novomoskovsk Pipe-Rolling Plant [NVTR UZ, BUY] produced 25.4 thsd mt of pipes in August, down 14% from the 7M08 monthly average of 29.5 thsd mt but up 14% from July’s 22.3 thsd mt. The 8M08 output of 232 thsd mt is up 22% YoY.

Yasynivka Coke [YASK UZ, Strong BUY] produced 142 thsd mt of 6% water content gross coke in August, the same amount as in July and 1.4% higher than the average monthly 7M08 level of 140 thsd mt.

According to Interfax-Ukraine, which has reported steel production numbers for August, the total crude steel output of Ukrainian steelmakers amounted to 3.2 mln mt last month.

According to Interfax-Ukraine, Dniprovsky Iron & Steel Works named after Dzerzhinsky, or simply Dzerzhynka [DMKD UZ, BUY], produced 217 thsd mt of steel in August, down 34% from the 7M08 average of 331 thsd mt.

According to Interfax-Ukraine, which has reported coke production numbers for August, the total 6% water content gross coke output of Ukrainian coke makers amounted to 1.73 mln mt last month.

According to Interfax-Ukraine, Bagliy Coke [BKOK UZ, Strong BUY] kept its output steady in August at 65 thsd mt. This is 1.9% higher than the average 7M08 value of 64 thsd mt.
