The Joint Venture Metalen LLC, which, together with OJSC Enakievo ISW [ENMZ UZ, U/R], comprise the so-called Enakievo ISW Group, has released its preliminary FY08 financials.

The annual report of Energomashspetsstal [ENMA UZ, N/R] shows that the company’s FY08 net loss amounted to UAH 200.3 mln (USD 38.0 mln at the period’s average USD/UAH 5.27). In 2007, Energomashspetsstal demonstrated a net income of UAH 10.2 mln (USD 2.02 mln).

Dniprodzerzhynsk Coke [DZKZ UZ, N/R] reported a FY08 net income of UAH 58.4 mln (USD 11.1 mln at the FY08 average of USD/UAH 5.27). The data was reported by Interfax-Ukraine in relation to an April 16 AGM invitation. The selected topics on agenda of the AGM, as reported by Interfax-Ukraine, do not include any extraordinary items.

Dnipropetrovsk Iron & Steel Works named after Petrovsky [DMZP UZ, U/R], or Petrovka, reported a FY08 net loss of UAH 381 mln (USD 72.3 mln at the FY08 average of USD/UAH 5.27). The data was reported by Ukrainian News, likely as an item on an AGM agenda. The news agency did not report the date for the AGM; we estimate it to be around April 16.

Bagliy Coke [BKOK UZ, U/R] reported a FY08 net income of UAH 15.3 mln (USD 2.9 mln at the FY08 average of USD/UAH 5.27). The data was reported by Interfax-Ukraine in relation to an April 16 AGM invitation. The selected topics on agenda of the AGM, as reported by Interfax-Ukraine, do not include any extraordinary items.

Interfax-Ukraine reported that Zaporizhstal [ZPST UZ, U/R] quoted UAH 47.7 mln (USD 9.1 mln at the FY08 average USD/UAH of 5.27) as the 2008 net income in the agenda of the AGM announced for April 08. The questions on the agenda, as reported briefly by Interfax-Ukraine, do not include any “abnormalities” such as share offerings or mergers.

In several official filings submitted with the regulator in January-February, Zaporizhstal [ZPST UZ, U/R] reported changes in its shareholder structure. Several developments are as follows.

Zaporozhkoks [ZACO UZ, N/R] decreased output of 6%-humidity gross coke by 10% MoM to 105 thsd mt, according to Ukrainian News. In comparison with the average FYM08 monthly output of 140 thsd mt (down 7% YoY), the January volume was down 25%.

In January, Yasynivka Coke [YASK UZ, U/R] increased output of 6%-humidity gross coke by 11% MoM to 108 thsd mt, according to Ukrainian News. In comparison with the average FYM08 monthly output of 127 thsd mt (down 12% YoY), the January volume was down 15%.

In January, Donetsk Coke [DKOK UZ, N/R] increased output of 6%-humidity gross coke by 24% MoM to 22 thsd mt, according to Ukrainian News. In comparison with the average FYM08 monthly output of 31 thsd mt (down 46% YoY), the January volume was down 28%.
