According to an announcement by Ukraine’s Fuel and Energy Ministry, Ukrainian electricity export prices will increase 119% during 2008 and 2009 from an average export price of USD 41 per MWh in 2007 to USD 90 per MWh in 2009.
The electricity distribution company, Poltavaoblenergo [POON], reported that its 2Q08 net sales are up by 28% YoY, amounting to USD 72 mln.

Electricity generation companies (except Energoatom) which belong to State owned Energy Company of Ukraine have increased their electricity production by 6.3% YoY amounting to 30.9 bln kWh. State owned thermal generation companies (Gencos) increased their output by 8.2% YoY increasing their utilization rate by 1.7p.p. to 25.8%
