The Joint Venture Metalen LLC, which, together with OJSC Enakievo ISW [ENMZ UZ, U/R], comprise the so-called Enakievo ISW Group, has released its preliminary FY08 financials.

The owners of Rodovid Bank [RODB UZ, U/R] are going to discuss the issue concerning the necessity of asking for state support at its EGM scheduled on February 26, according to information published by Interfax-Ukraine.

The Ministry of Agriculture has officially stated that USD 0.2 bln in financing will be allocated for loans to agrarians that are prolonged by Ukrainian financial institutions.

Ukraine’s President Viktor Yuschenko has signed a bill proposed by the Parliament that imposes an additional 13% tariff on all imports except those deemed to be critical.

According to a press release issued by Ukrtelecom [UTEL UZ, U/R], the company ended 2008 with a significant net loss of UAH 1.525 bln (USD 288 mln). Net revenues for the same period decreased by 2.4% to UAH 6,646 bln (USD 1.254 bln.).

Slavutych [SLAV UZ, BUY] held a conference on February 19, 2009. The company has continued to outperform the overall growth on the beer market, showing a growth of 16.2% vs. the 0.4% figure for domestic market growth. In 2008, total Slavutych turnover amounted to 8.2 mln gal (+19% YoY).

The annual report of Energomashspetsstal [ENMA UZ, N/R] shows that the company’s FY08 net loss amounted to UAH 200.3 mln (USD 38.0 mln at the period’s average USD/UAH 5.27). In 2007, Energomashspetsstal demonstrated a net income of UAH 10.2 mln (USD 2.02 mln).

Centrenergo [CEEN UZ, U/R], Donbasenergo [DOEN UZ, U/R] and Zakhidenergo [ZAON UZ, U/R] have reported on their preliminary 2008 financials. The net revenues of CEEN and ZAEN grew 36% YoY and 34% YoY, respectively, to UAH 4.7 bln and UAH 4.8 bln. CEEN posted UAH 198 mln net loss whereas ZAEN ended 2008 with UAH 90mln net loss.

Dniprodzerzhynsk Coke [DZKZ UZ, N/R] reported a FY08 net income of UAH 58.4 mln (USD 11.1 mln at the FY08 average of USD/UAH 5.27). The data was reported by Interfax-Ukraine in relation to an April 16 AGM invitation. The selected topics on agenda of the AGM, as reported by Interfax-Ukraine, do not include any extraordinary items.
