In September 2008, cement production in Ukraine declined by 6.2% to 1,428 metric tons, compared to September 2007.

The OJSC Mostobud [MTBD UZ, BUY] has signed a contract with the German company Bridon International, whereby Bridon will provide Mostobud with steel ropes to be used for its bridge construction project in Zaporizhya.

The Ukrainian cement plants of Dyckerhoff Zement International increased cement output by 8.7% YoY to 1067 thsd tons in Jan-May.
