Ukrzaliznytsya could pay debt to Kryukiv Wagon: POSITIVE

Transport and Communications Minister Yosyp Vinskyi has insisted that the state rail transport administration Ukrzaliznytsia settles its debts owed to railcar-building and railcar-repairing companies before December 15. Turboatom to supply 6 turbines to Tajikistan: POSITIVE

The Kharkiv-based Turboatom [TATM UZ, HOLD] – the largest turbine manufacturer in Ukraine – has agreed with the Energy Ministry of Tajikistan on the supply of six turbines and a hydraulic lock to the Nurek hydroelectric power station (Tajikistan) during the period 2009-2012. The President of Tajikistan has instructed the Energy Ministry to sign the relevant agreement by December 31.

ZAZ draws USD 62.5 mln syndicated loan: POSITIVE

The Zaporizhia car assembly plant (ZAZ) – the largest producer of cars in Ukraine – has received a syndicated loan valued at USD 62.5 mln. According to Ukrainian News, this information was made public by the law firm Baker & Mckenzie, which served a legal adviser to ZAZ in facilitating this particular deal.

AvtoKrAZ to Supply Ministry of Defense in 2009: POSITIVE

MSICH Co-Produced Engine Gets Euro Certification: POSITIVE

An engine manufacturing project involving the Zaporizhya-based company Motor Sich [MSICH UZ, U/R] for the joint production of the D-436TP engine has officially received European certification. The engine has successfully passed its flight fitness tests by European standards on a Beriev Be-200 amphibious aircraft, according to Motor Sich’s office in Moscow. MSICH collaborated with two Russian companies on this project – the MMPP Salyut machine-building company (Moscow) and the UMPO engine-building enterprise (Ufa).

MSICH Partners Up for Indian, Libyan Contracts: POSITIVE

Motor Sich [MSICH UZ, U/R] – one of the largest manufacturers of airplane and helicopter engines in the world – has recently seen some progress with two specific international projects. The first involves MSICH as the serial producer of AI-450 engines for a project being overseen by Russia’s Kamov Plant, involving the modification of the Kamov Ka-226 light multi-role helicopter to comply with the requirements of the Indian armed forces. According to Interfax-AVN, the aircraft is to be fitted with a new MSICH-produced engine, which will be the distinctive feature of the Indian modification.

Kryukiv Railcar Halts Delivery to Ukrzaliznytsia: NEGATIVE

As of November 19, Kryukiv Railcar [KVBZ UZ, BUY] will cease the supply of passenger train coaches to "Ukrzaliznytsya”, Ukraine’s State Administration for Railway Transportation, due to its outstanding debt of UAH 200 mln. Vladimir Prikhodko, the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Kryukiv Railcar made this announcement was made at the end of last week.
