AvtoKrAZ Holding [KRAZ UK] has finished certification procedures and has acquired an ISO 9000:2008 quality certificate, audited by Citech Ukraine B.V, an official representative of TNO (Netherlands). The company was certified upon complying with ISO 9001:2000 standards since 2004.

During 10M 2010, Zaporizhya Automobile Plant [ZAZA UZ], a member of the UkrAVTO Corporation [AVTO UK] decreased its car production by 34% YoY to 34 thsd units. YoY growth in October accounted for over 67%. Car exports accounted for 48% of total production for the period.

Kryukivka Carriage [KVBZ] has announced plans to construct a welding and assembly sector for a workshop specializing in passenger carriages and subway trains next year. The workshop area will be 20 thsd square meters, with an overall investment of USD 22.7 mln and a production capacity of 200 units a year. This year, the plant produced about 60 carriages of this type; the company plans for the next year include production of about 100 of these carriages.

During January-October 2010, Bogdan Corporation, proprietor of Bogdan Motors [LUAZ UK], increased output of buses and trolleybuses by 70.2% YoY, or 754 units, says the company press release. The growth has mostly been determined by the active export strategy of the company.

In Ocober 2010 Bogdan Motors [LUAZ UK] has increased car output by 27% MoM to 2 265 units. YoY production increase amounted 434%. Total YoY car output increase in 10M2010 accounted 17.5%.

Luganskteplovoz [LTPL UK] has acquired a major order to supply 35 locomotive sections to Ulan-Bator railways (Mongolia) in 2011. The company has announced a tender for attracting RUB 1 bln credit and plans to factor USD 5.3 mln of liabilities.

Prosceno Trading Limited (Cyprus), holder of 13.5% shares in Sumy Frunze has filed a claim against Sumy Frunze [SMASH UK] after the shareholder meeting adopted a decision to transfer 78% of the assets to a company with the same name, which has been sold to an offshore company.

In 3Q2010 Motor Sich [MSICH UK] has increased net profit by 81% YoY to USD 36mln.

Fabryka Samochodow Osobowych, a car production plant in Poland that is owned by UkrAVTO Corporation [AVTO UK], might be liquidated, according to Roman Bugai, the company official representative. The FSO factory has implemented measures directed at group dismissals and might dismiss all of its 1.8 thsd employees by March 2011. Losses for FSO in 2009 accounted over USD 67 mln.

GP Antonov, a large Ukrainian aircraft producer, and United Aviation Corporation (UAC, Russia) have signed an agreement to create a joint venture for cooperation in parts purchases, marketing, sales, servicing of Antonov brand aircraft, and designing new aircraft models. The venture stocks will be distributed 50/50 and the board will consist of 12 members – 6 from each party.
