During the inaugural ceremony for the transfer of the An-74T-200A, a middle-weight military transport aircraft, to the Egypt-based client, which was held in that country, the Egyptian party expressed its intention to order approximately 20 of the same aircraft in the near future. Apart from this, no other details of this transaction were disclosed.

Azovmash is scheduled to supply equipment for the blast-furnace of the U. S. Steel Serbia plant, the delivery of which is to be performed by April 2010. According to this contract, Azovmash should supply the equipment for one of the plants owned by U.S. Steel Serbia. At this point, Azovmash has not disclosed the monetary value of the agreement.

The joint stock company Sumy Frunze Machine Building [SMASH UZ, U/R] has successfully produced compressor equipment for Gazprom, for a total value of USD 13 mln.

According to the press office of Kryukiv Railcar [KVBZ UZ, BUY], the Company produced a total of 532 railcars in November, which is equal to the average 2008 monthly output figure. According to the Company’s production program, the production of another 630 cars is planned in December, which is 18.4% MoM more than in November.

Turboatom [TATM UZ, U/R], a major turbine producer, has announced that it is prepared to participate in the modernization of energy-related objects in Brazil. Within the framework of the Ukrainian-Brazilian Business Forum that was held in Kyiv on December 2, 2009, two main project were discussed.

AvtoKrAZ [KRAZ UZ, N/R] , a Ukrainian producer of heavy duty automobiles, has supplied a shipment of 100 vehicles to Azerbaijan. These autos are intended for use in the process of installation of oil and gas equipment produced domestically in Azerbaijan.

Ukraine’s Cabinet of Ministers reaffirmed that it intends to implement the government School bus program in 2009 at the level of 90%. The government has allocated UAH 150 mln for the program from the state budget. Earlier, Cabmin had approved the purchase of 638 school buses.

The world’s largest producer of turbines has successfully delivered equipment to the Russian Egorlinskaya Hydro Power Plant-2. Currently, the Company is engaged in the manufacture of additional equipment for the modernization of the remainder of the HPP’s aggregates.

According to the UkrAutoprom association, automobile output in November declined by 80.1% YoY to just 3.2 thsd units. The MoM decline was at 36.9%, as 5.1 thsd cars were produced in October.

Turboatom [TATM UZ, U/R] has successfully fulfilled the delivery of equipment to DTEK’s Vostokenergo for use in the modernization of power unit #7 at the Kurahovksa TPP. Currently, Turboatom engineers are engaged in the assembly of the equipment at the TPP.
