Kryukiv Railcar [KVBZ UZ, BUY], the leading Ukrainian freight railcar producer, the monopolist in terms of passenger and subway cars production, plans to create a JV with Gomelskiy Railcar Plant (Belarus). The JV would produce passenger and freight railcars. This decision was adopted at the intergovernmental level of the two states.

AvtoKrAZ [KRAZ UZ, U/R], Ukrainian heavy truck producer, reported about 215 units being produced in 1Q10, showing more than eightfold growth YoY. In the sales structure , the far-abroad countries (70%) and CIS countries (except Ukraine, 18.6%) dominate, while domestic market respect for only 11.4% of sales.

UkrAvto’s [AVTO UZ, U/R] shareholders, decided no to pay dividends from net income in 2009. They decided to dedicate all income (UAH 5.3 mln) to the development of the Company. In addition, shareholders decided to liquidate 6 sectors of UkrAvto and actively develop agro production and oil-products trading, in order to diversify the business and to offset the negative influence of the economic crisis on the major Company’s business.

Kruykiv Railcar [KVBZ UZ, BUY], leading Ukrainian freight railcars producer and the monopolist in terms of passenger and subway cars producing, is to supply 15 passenger railcars to Belarus, the chairman of KVBZ board Mr. Hvorost said. He also said that KVBZ is in negotiations with Ukrainian Railways about possible 60 passenger railcars and 1 thsd freight railcars supplement.

March 30, 2010KVBZ to supply 270 railcars to Freight One Ukraine

Kruykiv Railcar [KVBZ UZ, BUY] plans to supply 270 railcars to Freight One Ukraine (RZD’s daughter company) in April-May 2010, according to Interfax. According to KVBZ’s Chairman of the Board Evgeniy Khorost, the Plant is in the process of negotiating further cooperation with Freight One.
